Valuation Services

We prepare inventories and valuations for probate, insurance, family division and other purposes. These can be backed up by photographic records where necessary

We offer free verbal valuations and advice for auction purposes at our salerooms either by appointment or during business hours, Monday - Friday, 8.30 am to 5.00 pm.

For larger consignments or items of furniture, we will arrange a mutually convenient appointment to visit a client's home.

Specialist Items

Stamps, coins and medals are valued and sold through our association with specialist London Auction Houses ensuring maximum return for such items. Regular valuation days take place at our auction rooms in Plymouth.

Jewellery and precious stones. Our jewellery specialist and gemmologist is happy to value both antique and modern jewellery for insurance or sale purposes, either at our auction rooms or in a client's home or bank where appropriate.

Books and Collectors items. We hold periodic sales of antiquarian and later books, and of collectors items including toys, dolls, railwayana, automobilia, postcards, nautical items and miscellanea.

Executors, Auctions

Our fortnightly sales of Victorian and later furnishings provide a prompt and efficient service to executors and trustees disposing of whole or part households.

Our probate department offers a comprehensive valuation and sales service to assist in all aspects of processing an estate from the initial valuation to the disposal of items at auction and despatch of bequeathed chattels to beneficiaries.
